PAYCE Foundation backs Lifeline International

The PAYCE Foundation has expanded its relationship with Lifeline supporting Lifeline International at its annual president’s lunch in Sydney.

Lifeline International’s mission is to live in a world where access to quality suicide prevention support is available, accepted and encouraged.

President of Lifeline International John Brogden told the lunch that sadly, attempting suicide is still a crime in some countries.

Mr Brogden announced Brunei had become the organisations 25th member country.

“We now have a member on every continent, working actively on a daily basis to help people in crisis and prevent suicide,” he said.

“I’m very proud of our growth across a range of key areas over the past 24 months.

We are doing this to benefit our members and to save lives – because suicide, everywhere in the world, is preventable.”

The PAYCE Foundation team were joined at the lunch by the executive of the Curran Foundation.

Recently sworn-in NSW Premier Chris Minns was the special guest, pledging to continue state government support for Lifeline.

PAYCE Foundation director Dominic Sullivan said: “Every person in the world struggling with mental illness deserves our understanding and support.”

“Lifeline International is delivering a service that will save lives.”
