Youth at Risk

The PAYCE Foundation is passionate about supporting young people reach their potential, including youth at risk.

High youth unemployment and the long-term impacts of intergenerational poverty led the PAYCE Foundation to establish a social enterprise aimed at giving young people valuable employment skills.

A hospitality-based social enterprise, Kick Start, was formed to operate a fleet of mobile cafes on construction sites around Sydney and provides training and employment opportunities to local youth.

Following a number of years of successful operations and graduations, the mobile cafes are now being used by a number of charity partners including the St Vincent de Paul Society and the Salvation Army. The cafes provide food and welfare support to vulnerable communities in Sydney and Coffs Harbour.
